6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ
Do you ever feel like life has you by the seat of your pants, propelling you from work to home to school to car pool and back? Maybe your life is like a ride that you just cannot seem to stop. The big and small trials that we face are not there for us to trip over. They are there to prove that our faith is genuine.
Some of you have experienced more pain and loss than I could ever wrap my scrawny little mind or heart around, but you know there is One who can understand. His name is Jesus. He suffered extreme rejection, extreme pain, extreme beatings, extreme humiliation, extreme loss, even the loss of His precious life. He lost it all for you so don’t think for one minute He doesn’t get it.
Maybe you have heard of Him, or you heard your pastor talk about Him on Sunday. Maybe you are really religious and you never miss a church service or a prayer meeting, or perhaps you are completely self-sufficient and you don’t need what some might consider a crutch. Maybe you are all alone and you are not sure that anyone understands. Let me assure you, Jesus understands. Let me assure you that you are not alone.
God wants you to have true faith. A faith that is real and believes what the Bible says. A faith that lives differently because of what Jesus did for you and for me. A faith that responds to the difficulties that this life throws at you by putting your trust in God through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. If you want to know more about making this commitment, contact me at Wynelle@Lovewonhearts.com so I can talk with you.
So when you find yourself in the middle of a trial, because they will come, remember it can be your chance to prove that your faith is genuine. You can show the world how Jesus lived and suffered, so that He gets the glory.
