2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV1984)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Some days are just plain difficult when you are a parent. Today is one of those days. Some days I struggle with how to love and discipline my children like my heavenly Father. But today I need the grace of God to love my adopted child, whose actions communicate jealousy, abandonment and rejection.
One thing of which I am completely convinced is that the enemy wants to destroy my family. But by the blood of Jesus, my home is covered with the love and grace of God. In 1Peter 4:8 it says that love covers a multitude of sins.
Today I choose love.
Today I choose grace.
Today I choose mercy and forgiveness.
Today I choose Jesus.
The enemy must flee our home, in Jesus name!
