13 For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.
How is it God, that you give me what I ask for even when I ask too small of you? Why is it that for years I desired and I strived for certain leadership positions and jobs in the church and in ministry and then once I achieved those places of authority, I realized it was not all that I thought it would be.
God gave me what I asked for in His grace and mercy towards me and He used it to shape me. But it was not a permanent place for me to land. It was only a temporary stop on the way to what God is accomplishing in and through me as I walk with Christ.
Now I have come to the place where I am trying to seek God’s will for all things. I no longer tell God what is best for me. Instead I am asking God to do what He wants with my life. I take the limits off of you God and ask for “your Kingdom to come and your will to be done!” (Matthew 6:10) And it’s all for your glory, Jesus.
